sail shape with halliard, cunningham and leech outhaul
I drop the traveller down until there is backwinding of
the mail about 1 ft behind the luff then bring up the
traveller until it either just stops or is just
observable.  With this setting I know that the air flow
has attached to the main in the slot, again look at the
tell tails streaming off the leech all ( including the
top most) should be horizontal.  This of course assumes
that the head sail is correctly shaped (which some time
