[Public-list] Winch Grease & Cleaning

I have found that once you clean the winch components in kerosene or 
gasoline, it helps to wash them in soap and water to remove the 
petroleum residues, so that when you grease them, the grease adheres to 
the metal better.  Also, you want to dry them quickly, in the sun, if 
possible, to prevent any rust flashing.
