[Public-list] More Deck Stuff

After looking, tapping, consulting, pondering, etc. I
am starting to feel like I am ready to start repairs
as weather allows. I would like to solicit comments
on the following stuff.

It looks to me as if there are fairly small
delaminated areas along the side of the cabin. I
think these are a good candidate for epoxy injection
and I plan to proceed a little at a time as weather
permits.

The more extensive area is the aft deck on the
starboard side which is almost totally delaminated
from a few inches from the hatch to a few inches from
the toerail. I think that if the core isn't
completely shot I may try epoxy injection there too,
but it is a pretty large area.

If the core is shot, I wonder about cutting the
section out, replacing the core and putting it back.
This would allow the nonskid to be kept intact. There
isn't much smooth area outside the non skid to grind
tapers in for glassing it back in place though.

If that doesn't pan out redoing the deck in that area
would be the last option I guess, but then I lose the
nonskid in that area.

There are a few messy repairs in the nonskid on
various parts of the deck already and if things get
much uglier with my additional repairs, I wonder about
grinding off the nonskid and applying Treadmaster in
it's place. That would allow cosmetic patching to the
point where the deck could be attractive again. It
would also be a lot of work.

I also wonder about using a rubber mold to fix bad
spots in the nonskid (after shallowly routing out the
patched area). I saw some info on that on West
Systems page. Anyone here done that?
