"If you are unable to find your boats serial number on the top starboard
side corner of your transom...right on the very right top corner...then it
means that someone has worked and fiberglassed your transom and has covered
the number over."

This is not true - the boats prior to 1973 did NOT have the numbers embedded
in the hull.

Hi there....
If you are unable to find your boats serial number on the top starboard side
corner of your transom...right on the very right top corner...then it means
that someone has worked and fiberglassed your transom and has covered the
number over.
My brother had his A30 hull and deck gellcoated and they covered the serial
number which was about 1/8 of an inch sunk into the hull. I pointed this
fact out to my brother but he did not care to much about not having the
serial number.
My A30 for sure has this number and also the same number shows on a small
plate screwed on the companionway right above the compass well.
Take care Villo
