Peter:
I have replaced the whole of the deck on #528. Unfortunately I have
not done very well at photography, but can answer almost any specific
question you have in mind regarding decks or tools made to do the job.
I could move a stantion through 75 degrees when I bought the boat and
that was still attached to the deck in a loose sort of fashion one might
say. I would say start with a really good moisture meter on a boat that
has been dried out either under plastic as in a greenhouse frame or in a
shed for at least 6 weeks with sun. Once you have the areas mapped that
are wet, which may very well be both decks for the full length of the
coachhouse, and around all through -deck fittings, then you will have
enough to make the decision as to how far you want to go. After that
there is the first cut and then it gets easy.
Don # 528 and #469
