[Public-list] Cockpit coamings

OK, I have removed all of the bolts that hold the coamings to the fiberglass substructure of the coaming. The coaming won't budge. Is it necessary to remove the quarter-round that is at the base of the coaming in the exterior? Or is the quarter-round only screwed to the coaming for looks and to furnish more surface area for caulking? Thanks. Ed. Schroeder #303 Emotional Rescue. (Perhaps the coaming is held on with a "dogbone"?)
