may not set correctly. In the past 3 years I have seen a
lot of boats anchor and noticed the majority do not bear
down on the anchor to make sure it is set correctly. Boats
will come up to a stop then lower the anchor correctly pay
out rode and then let the boat drift back untill it stops.
In my estination the anchor is not set just sitting on the
bottom, in normal conditions this may be O.K but not with a

the boat has stopped I pay uot the remaining rode under a
little tention. At the correct 7:1 minimum scope I cleat
off the rode and when the boat has stopped I slowly increase
RPM to about 2000 and watch for any drifting if none I shut
down and relax but keep a look out for the next hour for any
driting. I h
