I  ordered a new main from Quantum in Traverse City -It was actually made in Annapolis - and am very well pleased with it. It is a full batten loose footed main with all bells and whistles. I ordered in the fall and received a very reasonable price. . By all reports the source you are looking at is excellent, but if you want to consider more than one option, this might be one worth looking at.

We are contemplating having a new main made for the Mermaid #305.  Some time ago a company's name in Toronto who made some or the original sails for Albergs was mentioned.  I have talked to those people and had their name and phone # but seemed to have misplaced it.  Could anyone give me their name and # and some idea of the quality of work they do.  We would like to duplicate the original sail because it has all the bells and whistles, but has been repaired too many times and is in pretty bad shape. We are located in Western Lake Erie, docked in Port Clinton, OH, but live in Northville, MI and are open for suggestions.  Not necessarily looking for the best price but the best sail.
