I have used varnish, which requires a great deal of constant labor, and teak oil, which if anything requires more work. I now use Cetol which looks pretty good and lasts from six to nine months. Unless I had a work crew I could drive with a whip, I would not go back to varnish, nor teak oil. - Gordon White Brigadoon II
