[Public-list] Painting teak toerails

Oh, I forgot to mention that the boat I cruised on for years had (miles 
of) natural teak trim (unfinished), which was fabulous:
naturally non-skid and rot resistant.  The silver-grey color is very 
pleasing.

You do have to make sure that the wood is teak (mahogany does not do as 
well left natural and tends to blacken) and that it was a decent grade 
to begin with.
