[Public-list] Halyard back to cockpit

We would like to install blocks to bring the main halyard, topping lift and one set of reef lines back to the cockpit (A30 #637).  We would like to have the lines at deck level moving up a step as the main cabin roof steps up.  I wonder if the extra friction of the lines moving up to follow the step in the deck would make the lines less powerful than they should be.
