[Public-list] depression in hull

Question, would a solution be to slack off the shrouds and reinforce the inside for a larger surface area? This would distribute the forces over a larger area. You may need to apply presure from the inside to fair up the outside. Does anyone have pros or cons to this thought?

Subject: Re: [Public-list] depression in hull
Hi there-
Surprise has them too... I think that they were built into our boats, which
as I have observed before were very well built - but not particularly finely
built. They exist because the solid glass hull is actually quite flexible
(particularly in contrast to the cored deck and thick plywood bulkheads
which are stiff) and if there were any variance in accuracy in the
fabrication of the deck and bulkhead cutting - the hull has to pull in where
the rigidity didn't allow 'make-up' to occur elsewhere.
I could not see the irregularities until I had her painted dark blue. Then
I could see the depressions in the area of the chainplates, and then only
from particular angles.
I wouldn't worry about them; such things are just part of what the A30 is.
