[Public-list] BRAND NEW MYLAR RACING SAILS FOR 1972 A- 30

Actually using Mylar, even in a PHRF race, would likely be protestable as
the class rules prohibit it and therefore the boats rating was determined
using Dacron - thus possibly invalidating the rating - there are two schools
of thought on whether a protest would be successful. At any rate, if such a
protest was ruled invalid, racing A-30s on Mylar or Kevlar or carbon sails
is only going to hurt the classes rating over the longer term - particularly
for those who would stick to Dacron.
Cheers,
John
