My wife Margaret and I are the current owners of hull # 5 "Ariel" in
Jacksonville, Florida, previously owned by John Engel and before that I
believe by a Mr. Mullroney?  We need information about the tiller. The
current tiller is awkward and in the way of the cockpit and sticks almost
straight up.  I have read the article on the articulated tiller but at this
point would just be happy with photo or dimensions of original tiller.
Living in Florida Ariel gets to sail almost every week in the Wednesday beer
can races, and our sailing club the North Florida Cruising Club has numerous
cruises and races all year.  Last year in November she took us to Cumberland
Island, Ga.on a four day cruise and in May we did the Mug Race " Worlds
longest River Race " over 38 miles then on Memorial Day on a four day cruise
to St. Augustine.   Our previous boat was a Catalina 25 that we had for ten
years, so we feel like we went from a Chevy to a Mercedes.  Any help with
tiller would be greatly appreciated.
