[Public-list] Main Halyard Sheave Group Purchase

Long story short, after two trips to the top of the mast last Wednesday
while trying to get the main up (and then down), I determined that the
original phenolic resin sheave has seen its last days of service.

I've been in contact with two sources for replacement sheaves and have a
quote back from the first of $86 plus $12 shipping for one sheave (I am
waiting for group pricing information, but I would expect it to be about
$70 per if we got four or more).  The sheave is a black delrin sheave
with a brass bushing.  There is information and photos at
www.zephyrwerks.com.  I am still waiting for a quote from the second.

These sheaves should be ideal if you want to switch to rope halyards, or
if you need to replace a deteriorated sheave. 

Let me know if you have any interest in participating in a group
purchase.  I will probably be placing my order fairly soon, as I need to
get it replaced in order to get sailing again.  The Zephyr Werks folks
say they can get one out to me next week, so if you're interested speak
up quickly.
