[Public-list] 1961 25' Whitby

A well cared for wooden boat in nice cosmetic shape is really a thing of
beauty. There isn't a fiberglass boat ever made that rides as nice as a good
wooden boat either. It's just so rare to find a wooden boat in good shape
these days. It seems like caring for a wooden boat is a lost art form with
very few exceptions. Whenever I hear of people working on wooden boats, I
always assume that some wood replacement is required. I'm glad to hear that
the one that you're working on is clean. What type of boat is it?
As to Gateway and DCYC, yes, we did meet once. Is Walter's Formosa a black
hulled Sea Wolf (type anyway)? We met on (or by) Bill's Vagabond 47. Small
world, eh? If either of you are thinking of coming back to Gateway and
possibly joining DCYC, there is a dock party next Saturday (7/22) for $10.00
per person. It should be a good time.
See you on the water,
Brian s/v Calico Jack
