Hi,
I saw Andy at his boat on Monday and asked him about the plans for the A30 Yawl. He is willing to share whatever he has with the group. But he also told me that Carl Alberg only had sent him vertical plans for the placement of the mizzen mast and sail. He has no plans for the rigging involved; that was engineer after the mast was placed. It does involve a split aft stay and the shortening of the boom. I will share them as I receive them.

PS. Does anyone have a half hull model of the A30 or know of anyone who makes them?

Could you ask Andy if he would be willing to copy his plans? I would be
glad to pay for duplication, and I think it would be a fine addition to
the Alberg30.org web site. I'd love to include the story of converting
the A30 to a yawl, too.

A copy of the plans is available?!?!?!?!? :) If you remember, when we first
bought Stargazer, I tried to get a copy of the plans of the A 30. The Carl
Alberg Archive at MIT, which has the originals of most of ALberg's designs,
didn't have the A30 plans, and the company that supposedly did have the plans
never answered my calls, so I gave up. If an opportunity is opening to get a
copy of the plans, that would be great!!!
