that is my thought. What ladder do you use?

Hi David - 

I use and prefer a permenantly mounted stainless steel ladder.  Ours
is
fitted to the transom and hinges up to be lashed to the stern pulpit.

My reasoning is that it is always ready for use and is our Plan A to
help
someone aboard.
