[Public-list] Boarding Ladders

David,

We have the same as what Gord has. I'm not sure where it comes from as it
came with the boat. I leave it tied up to the pushput with a line hanging
down to the water line so that it can be released from the water if I end up
in the drink unexpectedly. My standoffs are 5 1/4 inches long and seem to
be fine to me.

Hi David -

I use and prefer a permenantly mounted stainless steel ladder. Ours is
fitted to the transom and hinges up to be lashed to the stern pulpit.

My reasoning is that it is always ready for use and is our Plan A to help
someone aboard.

Cheers - Gord #426 Surprise
