Short hops in good weather I take the outboard off the dink and tow. Keep a  
good watch for chafing on the tow line where it goes through the chock. I have 
 had stretchy nylon chafe quite fast.
 
Long runs I stow on deck for better speed and less worries. My inflatable  is 
the inflatable floor type which allows me to deflate or inflate it across the 
 lifelines on the fore deck fore stowing. Where would you put a RIB?
