[Public-list] Galley Sink Fixture

Since I was planning on living on Caprice #388 off and on the hook, I upgraded the galley sink to include the following.  I have two water tanks, the original forward and another in the portside cockpit locker.  The two hoses from the tanks come together with a three way valve so I can isolate tanks.  From that valve, there's a Y (no valve) where the water can go either to a foot pump below the sink which pumps to it's own spigot or a electric pump which works off of pressure (no accumulator tank necessary) that pumps water thru a Multi Pure filter (very expensive) then to it's own spigot that opens and closes.  When you open the spigot, purified water drinking is pumped out - it's actually very tasty...and I only have a couple of unusual growths (kidding).   So, I have fresh water unfiltered for washing up and filtered for drinking.  Finally, I have a hand pump that pumps in salt water from a seacock.  This system for me works great.  The down side is having three spigots.

It takes forever to pump a pint of water. It comes
out in high speed pulses that splash out of the sink. 
If I were to persevere and pump until I had a quart of
water I think my bad shoulder would give out!

I really don't plan to drink water from the tank, but
need something that works better for hand washing,
dish washing etc. What do the rest of you use? On my
previous boat we had a similar pump and I just carried
gallon jugs and used water directly from them. I
would really prefer to get an adequate pump and
faucet.

I wonder about the Whale flipper pump and the various
foot pumps (Defender lists two sizes of Whale foot
pumps and a Thetford). I wouldn't completely rule out
electric either. I would just as soon not spend much,
but will spend what it takes to get something that
works well.

So what do you all recommend?
