J... Inverters are cheap until you go above ~ 400 watts then they accelerate. 
You don't need a big one. West Marine prices are ridiculous. Go to:

where you can get a 400 watt inverter to amply cover your needs for $40.

Buy online or their store in Glen Burnie. Usually on sale.
