On Emotional Rescue #303, we have a hose with that description for a drain line from the main ice box. The line is attachd to the outside "ice box" with a "Y"-fitting, so that it drains both ice boxes. Ed. Schroeder

description than I included before.

The port engine bunk I'm referring to is the fore and aft stringer that
holds the engine mounts (this is a non-liner boat). There is a white
hose (approx. 1/2 inch) coming out of a hole in the inboard side of the
bunk near its forward end. The hose is surrounded by silicone sealant
where it exits the bunk. The hose is seemingly there to direct the
water into the bilge, but instead of going down the hose into the bilge
(or perhaps in addition to), the water comes out of the hole around the
hose, and hits the aft end of the cabin floor which is inside the engine
compartment, and seeps out into the cabin under the engine compartment
hatch.

I don't know if the hose goes all the way through the bunk, or if it was
merely inserted in a limber hole in an unsuccessful effort to redirect
flow into the bilge.
