Mike,

I'm not sure what you are referring to as "a lot of work for a little 
gain."  Do you mean moving the through hull?  I have the old one out 
already, so it's not a huge project to move it.  I'll have to enlarge 
the existing one anyway, and I'm already filling in one or two others 
(that I'm eliminating).

Could you clarify a bit?
