Epoxy has a 1000 times better bonding characteristic to polyester or
anything else than polyester to it self or anything else.

Google it ... you'll see.

As for the Failure factor you spoke of ... sounds like bad repair methods.
Fairing/feathering/layering in is the best technique for addressing this
but if the substrate is poor then there may be further failure. Best case
scenario is to evaluate the entire area prior to repair --- with a hammer!

I do.

Infinty was refaired with Epoxy - MAAS and Microballons - no 3m cop-outs.
Then hand faired. After that I too applied Interlux Interprotect which is
awesome and has worked well. No stress or failure factors to date. After 4
years.

Best of luck ... but epoxy is an improvement and will not disappoint...
just use alot if in doubt. It is an Alberg 30.
