            My name is Brennan Carney and I am in the restoration process of a storm damaged 1971 Alberg 30. Once completed, I will embark on a circumnavigation via the Five Great Capes. Although still in great shape, the Alberg does require some attention. The chainplates need to be reattached or replaced and I am very interested in watertight bulkheads for added bouyancy if something were to go wrong. I also want to strenghten the mast set up so it would be more apt to handle the forties, I'm considering extra shrouds, a double spreader rig, and an inner forestay. The large glass panels on the aft coach roof seem like they could also use a bit of beefing up. At first sight she seems to be a great boat. Any thoughts or suggestions on the matter would be invaluable. There were only two boats in the marina to survive Hurricane Katrina; luckily enough, I managed to snag this one!
