 I'd be very cautious about pouring stuff in the bilge not easily 
removable. I was chief engineer some years ago on a 125 ft wooden Baltic 
schooner. Someone poured concrete in the bilge and it was pretty much a 
disaster. Once it's in it stays in and makes all sorts of things 
inaccessible. In a wooden ship, that includes through-hull fittings and 
small leaks.
