A lot of places I go it would definitely be less
convenient.

I mostly sail in the upper and middle bay and a lot of
places I have been seem like they would be a hassle
with greater than 5' or so of draft.

OTOH: Some folks manage with much deeper draft.  I
imagine it requires much more planning though.
