[Public-list] Pulling out an Atomic 4

Dear Amy and David,
                              1. Strip as much weight off the Atomic. 
Starter, Alternator, Flywheel cover and Flywheel.
                             2. Use a4x4 acroos the cockpit and block and 
tackle. I used a Canadian Tire 100 dollar rated over 1000 lbs- worked like a 
damn.Move engine to blocks below cockpit. Remove
                             3. Move block and tackle to boom(take main off 
first). Tie Main sheet halyard to boom at the tackle point and  tighten to 
prevent boom stress. Hoist engine into cockpit .
                             4. Re-configure lift point as necessary on 
boom. Rehoist engine to clear coamings . Swing boom with engine attached 
over onto dock. The boat will list a bit but no big deal. You don,t need a 
Jeep.
