[Public-list] Replace old through-hulls?

Greetings, Folks,

With the boat out of the water this week I'm wondering-- what about
those 40 year old through-hull fittings? Should they be replaced?

I understand that detecting signs of corrosion (pink) is one thing to
look for. With seacocks or ball valves off the through-hull
fittings appear robust-- there are no visible signs of corrosion
    or weakness to be found.

I removed one 1/2 " fitting that wasn't hooked up any more and once
out of the hull, it appeared solid and whole. (It was the drain for
the old-style urinal-- the REALLY old urinals were apparently
fold-up types-- fold them down to use, flip them back up to drain
them out. The backing was two pieces of masonite. (Other fittings
   have plywood or solid wood.)

So, the question is, with an inside viewing of through-hulls, and
everything appearing sound and fine, is there any need to replace
  them?

   Many thanks for responses.

Regards,
