The mount 
(http://alberg30.org/maintenance/Accomodations/Table/socket-side.jpg) is 
cast aluminum.  There's no reason why you couldn't take a piece of heavy 
aluminum pipe that just fit around the leg, have a mounting plate welded 
onto one side, and use that.
