For me it would be really beneficial to be able to lower and raise my mast. Where I live it takes 2 days to get to a boatyard but I have a way to pull my boat out of the water here, however it requires removing the mast. I also have a place to work on the boat on the ground which saves the yard bill and I can work on it at my lesure without being rushed. It would save me a lot of money and inconvenience.

Does anyone on the list have other estimates of the weight of a fully rigged Alberg 30 mast?
