It would be possible, particularly if the keyway were 'way off-center, to get a local machine shop to cut another keyway where it should be. Might even braze up the original (wrong) keyway and re-ream the shaft hole. A bit expensive, but at least a way to get a good fitting. - Gordon White Brigadoon II
