[Public-List] Bilge pump question

Gordon,

I think that the hose from the pump would have to loop up above the "T" fitting, and then back down to it to avoid a back flow. I am thinking about doing this to my boat because my deck drains are no longer tied into the cockpit drain hoses, so I have an easily available fitting to connect the bilge hose to. I may include a pump cycle counter so I will know how often the pump works.

  Good morning Jay,

I thought about that...but the cockpit sole is so close to the waterline
that with a few people in there I would be pretty much guarranteed to back
flood.... And of course it would be tough to see the volume of water the
pump was moving.
