[Public-List] What's the secret to removing this old winch?

Anyone use these old winches still? I plan on cleaning 
mine up and
using it still.

Oh, yes.  The pawls take a beating on mine (especially the 
small one on the mast). I have made replacement ones in 
the past with some brass stock. Anyone else have that 
problem?
