[Public-List] Electric Aux power

Gord,

I thought you rowed TOUCH WOOD???

PS - I actually did try that w/ my Rhodes 19; mounted sculling oar locks on
the combings (just the right distance apart), bought some used carbon oars
(from Princeton rowing no less), fashioned a seat that fit over the
centerboard trunk and did my first test row on a trip to the Jersey shore.
In a 5 knot headwind with 1/2" waves and slack tide I think I got 5 boat
lengths in 25 very hard strokes. Fortunately the wind blew me back to the
dock where the ambulance was waiting. My back and heart are much better
now, as long as I don't laugh.

Interesting, Roger.

I think the big issue is still range. I look forward to developments in
that area. My own interest is in ref to TOUCH WOOD.

Gord
