[Public-List] Taffrail

Good evening Gents -

I think apres-400 boats with the moulded in bulwark (like Surprise) just had
a flat curved plank bedded down onto the flat top of the stern.

May in introduce a totally unrelated subject? Thanks.

Many of you have heard me moaning over the years about my Danish wooden
Folkboat 'Touch Wood'. Well, last weekend I found her. She had been
abandoned in Marathon, Florida and then mauled by Hurricane Wilma. Her
current owner has just finished the major hull repairs but was running out
of resources when I found them. After a fairly emotional exchange of emails
I learned that if I want her I can have her. I considered going to Marathon
to inspect her and decide if I can take her on, but my wife said "don't
waste the money. If there are just two sticks left of her lying on the
beach you would bring them back. Concentrate on moving her". Where did I
find that girl.

I am now working on creating a plan to get her up to my business's warehouse
in New Bedford. I must be out of my mind.

And the A30 - I will keep her too.

Gord
