Thanks for your note and the thoughts.
Back in 86 I tore over 100lbs of canvass, fibre glass and paint off TOUCH
WOOD's deck and found the tongue&groove pine decking like new. I couldn't
believe it. An older Danish boat builder I met back then told me that my
boat was one of those built shortly after the War of wood that had cured for
years during the German occupation. First growth timber cured properly...
Friends - I have to say that I am going to need help. I have kept track of
the kind messages I am getting and am moved by them. I will put everything
I can into this project but at the moment it is looking like I have not
figured things out yet.
First thing I have to do is complete my communications with the current
owner. I have accepted the offer she has made but have not had a confirming
message back from her yet. I want to be very careful not to jump ahead of
her by assuming the deal is done; I hope to hear from her again soon (it has
been days but I understand that not everybody sits in front of a computer
all day like I do).
Stand by - and thanks for the offers - I am going to need you guys.
