We followed the setup on other boats and made a U shaped standoff from PVC and wrapped soft line around it where it contacts the transom

I have one, but it does not work so well though, as it does not have hull
standoffs. A conventional removable ladder on either side of the boat is much
easier to board with. Good emergency ladder though.
