[Public-List] The Commute

Saturday at about 1130 Isa Lei anchored in Washington Channel.  We spent Friday running up from Colonial Beach to Mattawoman Creek.   Here we tucked in close to the south shore since the forecast hinted at strong southwesterlies.  Saturday we got underway at 0600 and made a quick trip to DC.  Mount Vernon from the water is quite a sight.  Saturday afternoon was spent riding out a severe thunderstorm, but by late afternoon all was well and quiet.  Today was spent at the Museum of Indian Art and the Botanitical Gardens and tonight Steve and Susan Foote had all of us over for dinner.  Tomorrow it will be more sightseeing.
