[Public-List] Bulkhead through companionway?

Good evening Andy,

Have you tried turning the bulkhead upside down and rotating it up through the companionway one end at a time with the bottom of the end going forwards as it leaves the cabin? The top of the doorway (the part that you crack your skull on each time you go into the fore cabin <grr>) would be against the lower aft edge of the open companionway hatch. It might be necessary to remove the engine cover and steps.

On paper this looks as though it should work but with tight clearances as the widest part of the bulkhead goes through the opening (it might need to be tipped slightly to one sideas it goes).

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
