A thought and like George I'm not familiar with your boats construction.   There is a Bristol Owners Association and they may be able to help http://www.bristolowners.org/index.html    There is also a Chesapeake Bay Bristol Club. http://cbclub.info/  These owners associations, and individual members probably have the boat specific assistance you need.
