Hello Gord,
Thank you for the education on the Spinaker Halyard and the Jib Halyard.
Since the sheaves are below the forestay, they only can be used for a Jib.
So I guess I would have my second jib haljard. I guess I have to find
another solution if I want a Spi.
About that sheave - thank you for the source. I will contact them.
I also wanted to update all of you who responded to my blown-out sail
questions about 2 months ago.
All of you were were right. The sails are blown-out and we do need a new set
if we like to have some better performance. We got some quotes from a
variety of sail makers and we found that the local saillofts have several
advantages over the big brand names (one of which is these sails are made
locally and not offshore). We decided to go with TRITON Sails in Toronto,
which is the original sailloft that made the Alberg Sails when the Boats
left the factory. I don't think we could ask for more Alberg experience in
sailmaking and I look forward to the new season with one or two new sales. I
will keep you posted on how they work in 2009.
Thanks again
Bruno & Elyse
