Mike and George

Thanks for the info as well. I did not realize the raritan tanks could be made to fit with the application of a little english. I remembered that some dispared of using their's and sold them off while stehepen was albe to reduce the size of his and install it. The reason I liked the raritan tank was that it was the same size as you indicated and they would put the fittings where I wanted them. I felt badly because my advice did not work for everyone who bought the raritan tank. I did not think that the area under the b-berth would be different. I am much more sensitive to the small differences between the two styles of A 30s now. So, thanks again.

George - thanks for the memory check. You are right, the plywood in the olde [non-liner boats] is a couple inches lower than that in the liner boats. While the tank fit , the elbow extended above the plywood by a lttle [less than an inch]. The solution was to cut a hole in the plywood to give the elbows clearance and then add another pice of plywood over the whole thing. It was quite a surprise, since I had measured [on my boat 505] so carefully.
