I figured that the fine pitched blades of my 'gull's prop were stalled
and cavitating...so convinced Boyd to let me get moving towing him
before he throttled up. I figured that way my big slow turning prop with
its huge blade area and fine pitch would be at max efficiency.
The result? He towed me backwards at about 3knts. I was crushed.
