[Public-List] Power Tools

Tool Timers,

I had my doctor write me a prescription for power tools (better than
Oxycontin) that I show my wife each time I come home with another. It's
kind'a depressing though because, lately when I go to Home Depot, Lowes,
etc, it's hard to finding power tools I don't already have, often in
duplicate. A month ago I bought a power hand plainer just because I didn't
have one. I'm not real sure what it looks like; hasn't been out of the box.

I have learned one can identify the stages of an A30 rehab protect by the
tools in use. I started with a grinder and sawsall then progressed to
sanders, belt, orbital, then palm. There was a very long stint with
liquids, most toxic, and I am now in the drill stage, good thing I have
five.

After filling a few hundred holes of various sizes, making that first hole
in the deck (for a hatch hinge) was nerve-wracking. Of course, I messed it
up and have to do it over. I have also learned do overs sometimes require
revisiting the entire tool inventory.

Anyway, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Pulpits and stanchions are
in; combings are in but will probably need to be reinstalled when the wood
winch bases go in. Chain plates, travelers and windows are on deck
(figuratively, not literally). Fasten some stuff to the engine, buy some
batteries, fill the fridge w/ beer and see if she floats. No doubt it will
happen this decade.

Best,

Roger 148
