[Public-List] More free charts - easy copy/extract script

To easily copy the charts, extract them to c:\program files\seaclear\charts
They will all be in a sub-directory bsb_charts - check the name of this and fix
it below, I DON'T have this available right now to double check, so make sure the
directory name below is correct. Then,
open a command prompt (All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt
or Run Command: cmd.exe)
Type:
cd "\program files\seaclear\charts"
(the next line might not be quite right - do a dir and see the name of the bsb_... directory)
cd bsb_charts
for /d %i in (*) do xcopy * %i\.. /D /y
exit
You can run this as many times as you want if you download new files.
If you want to know, the /d means match directory names into %i, and the xcopy is an extended copy that has the /D and /y flags to only update the files if they are newer, and don't prompt to update newer files.
Bill.

This is what worked for me.
1) Download raster chart ZIP file from NOAA
2) Open the ZIP file and unzip to the SeaClear Charts folder , which may
be at c:/program files/SeaClear/charts
All the charts must be in this folder. If they end up being put into
separate folders, move them all to this charts folder.
3) Open MapCal II ( installed with SeaClear)
4) Select TOOLS/ Autoload List / Scan for New Charts
MapCal will search the charts folder for new charts and add them to
SeaClears database.
5) Exit MapCal
6) The charts should be available in SeaClear.

I have loaded the Sea Cear software and downloaded two Raster Charts
from NOAA but I have not been able to view the charts yet.The
instructions say use Map-Cal.Tried that but no success.Advice would be
welcome.
