[Public-List] Mast Heads for the Alberg

Gord,

The barky came with that rudder and with a 7 degree +/- twist in the shaft
(to steer straight, one needs to hold the tiller about 7 degrees to port of
centerline; good thing my left arm is longer than my right). My seller is
the step son of the long time owner from CT and tells me 148 was washed up
on the rocks during a storm. Might explain the twist and perhaps the rudder
was extended when repaired. I think I will call him and try to find out
more.

I was hoping to make the drive from Pittsburgh for your seminar (and to see
my daughter who goes to American University) but the boss has us going to
some boring cocktail party tomorrow night. Maybe next time.

Best,

Roger

Hi there -

When I first saw the rudder with the angular trailing edge I assumed it was
a Douglas 32 blade put onto an A30...Roger - did you make it yourself?

Looking forward to seeing you folks tomorrow!
