[Public-List] table base

Just a materials note:  I have the original aluminum base, and it's 
very light which I find handy (not strength-wise, but it terms of 
handling it).  The original owner of mine "leathered" a 6" section 
where it passes through the bunk flat (just as you would the shaft of 
an oar, complete with stitching).
