[Public-List] Hatch Adjusters on an Alberg 30

Hi Everyone,

The forward hatch on my boat doesn't have anything to hold it open,
nor is there any sign of there being one.  I'd like to add a hatch
adjuster like this one:

The only thing is, is that I'm concerned that the fiberglass sidewalls
of the hatch opening might not be able to support the setup. For the
length of the screws used to attach the thing, I'm guessing they will
be penetrating though the fiberglass and possibly into the core.

Anyone know what Alberg's were set up with? Anyone use something
similar to the hatch adjuster and it worked out ok?
